A brief idea of the manufacturing process:

The process of manufacturing tea is a very labour intensive one. First, the leaves need to be carefully plucked by hand, then there is a process called withering. This is a controlled process where all factors are monitored closely to reduce moisture content. The withering process is important for the development of flavor and aroma in the tea and for further processing.

Then there is the CTC (crushing-tearing-curling) process, wherein the tea is passed through cylindrical rollers with several sharp 'teeth' to process the tea into small, hard pellets. After this, the tea is left for fermenting then it is fired to dry it
